Abstract

GARCIA, Donaldo; SWIGGERS, Gisela; GONZALEZ, Endri  and  DELGADO, Ángel. The Compilations of Venezuelan Amerindian Ethnographic Research Literature: Towards a Classification. Lit. teor. hist. crit. [online]. 2022, vol.24, n.2, pp.285-306.  Epub Aug 23, 2022. ISSN 0123-5931.  https://doi.org/10.15446/lthc.v24n2.102096.

This note purpose is to classify the compilations of Venezuelan Amerindian ethnographic research literature. For this purpose, a documentary analysis of eight publications related to the Pemón, Warao, Wayuu, Ye'kwana, and Yukpa ethnic groups was carried out. The classification is made up of three categories: ethnoliterary compilations, infused literary compilations, and literary compilations. For the creation of the second category we made a parallelism with the term "infused dictionaries", proposed by Francisco Javier Pérez.

Keywords : Literary compilations; ethnographic research; Venezuelan Amerindian literature.
