This paper review identifies the state of the art and the current use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) in the supply chain and its application level in Colombian industry through analysis of existing studies. This review starts in logistics general concepts, up to its application in ICT's, which varies according to supply chain characteristics and needs. It was observed that most of these technologies contribute to cost reduction and improvement of the information flow among the actors of the supply chain. The main obstacles to ICT´s application in supply chain are: high costs, organizational culture and inadequate process restructuring.
