In this work the notions of (α, β)-semi-kernel and the (α, β)-semi-cokernel of a subset A C X are defined, by utilizing the (α, β)-semiopen sets described in [12]. Also using such sets, we introduce and study new classes of sets called: (α, β)-Λ_s-set, (α, β)-V_s-set, (α, β)-g.Λ_s-set and (α, β)-g.V_s-set, Using these notions, we characterize the (α, β)-semi T₁ and (α, β)-semi T_1/2 spaces studied in [12]. Also using such sets and the notion of associated operator on a topology, we introduce and study a new class of functions that generalize the functions g.Λ_s-irresolute and g.Λ_s-open, see [2] and [3]
