Abstract

HOYOS, Luis Eduardo. NEGOTIATION WITHOUT JUSTICE. Ideas y Valores [online]. 2006, vol.55, n.130, pp.39-51. ISSN 0120-0062.

(Negotiation without justice): The paper presents a philosophical reflection inspired by Colombia’s ongoing institutional fragility. It argues: (1) that the idea of political and social institutions establishing and safeguarding the human life contains a pragmatic and a normative element, and (2) that Colombia’s tradition in the negotiation with armed actors has been characterized in the last years by the breaking out the balance between this pragmatic and this normative element.

Keywords : Colombia; justice; peace; institutions; State; Law of Justice; Peace.
