Abstract

ALVAREZ ZAPATA, Didier. Master in Information Science: a space for comprehensive preparation and the axis of a scientific integration project. Rev. Interam. Bibliot [online]. 2011, vol.34, n.2, pp.211-219. ISSN 0120-0976.

This article addresses two key issues related to the Master in Information Sciences: the importance of postgraduate studies, and the unifying role that Information Sciences play in inter and multidisciplinary processes aimed at the understanding of the information phenomenon in today's world. This task sees the academic universe as an environment where science is, re-contextualized, institutionalized, and organized around teaching and research projects that are directed at having a humanizing effect. It also understands Information Sciences as a strategic project of reflection and participation in today's social order.
