Abstract

OLIVEIRA LEAO, Jacqueline. AUTOFICTION IN BRAZILIAN CONTEMPORARY LITERATURE: JOSÉ RUBEM FONSECA'S "JOSÉ". Escritos - Fac. Filos. Let. Univ. Pontif. Bolivar. [online]. 2016, vol.24, n.52, pp.37-60. ISSN 0120-1263.  https://doi.org/10.18566/escr.v24n52.a03.

The article aims to reflect on the autofictional genre bearing in mind the significant presence of the writing of oneself [l'écriture de soi] within contemporary literature. Such a reflection is developed from a comparative perspective. The article, also, aims to discuss the intersubjective mobilities -autofiction, memory and imagination- and the possibility of relating such categories to Rubem Fonseca's José. In order to achieve such a purpose, emphasis is placed on relevant issues concerning the fable as genre, construction of the text and the mobility included in the concept of autofiction.

Keywords : Autofiction; Memory; Imaginary; Brazilian Contemporary Literature; Rubem Fonseca.
