Abstract
HIGUERA AGUIRRE, Édison Francisco. Metaphysics without ontology. Franciscanum [online]. 2016, vol.58, n.165, pp.145-173. ISSN 0120-1468.
Metaphysics without ontology is a project of theoretical philosophy that want to put the basis to edificate a metaphysical building without ontological sources. To arrive at this goal, author uses any concepts of contemporary epistemology, such as scientific revolutions and paradigms, “adapted” to metaphysical context. At this point, the question is: is it possible to talk about philosophical revolutions and philosophical paradigms, and even ontological paradigm. The author considers unsustainable the paradigm of being, due to the deep changes that the world has suffered in the last years; instead proposes a metaphysical paradigm away from the seduction of being. Methodology used is the hermeneutic Verwindung. Hermeneutics as a philosophical doctrine that want to establish the nature, characteristics, conditions and limits of all possible understanding of reality; Verwindung, as capacity of “distortion” of the original meaning of a text. Thanks to this procedure establishes the existence of the 'ontological paradigm' and declares their incapacity to respond the questions of man today; and also want to establish the basis for a new metaphysical construction, non-dependent of the ontological paradigm.
