The lulo (Solanum quitoense L.) is a promising fruit tree due to its high demand and, for that reason, an alternative to develop crops at the business level; however, phytosanitary problems such as Fusarium oxysporum limit the productive potential of the species and generate significant economic losses to farmers. The objective of this work was to evaluate 57 introductions of lulo by its reaction to F. oxysporum and yield components. The introductions of lulo were planted in a locality of the municipality of La Florida, department of Nariño, with a history of epidemics caused by F. oxysporum. From each introduction, five plants were planted 2.5 m apart and 3 m between furrows. The evaluated variables were subjected to Principal Component Analysis and Hierarchical Classification. In order to select the best introductions, a selection index formed by variables of greater importance was applied. The first four main components accounted for 82.4 % of the total variation. According to the Classification Analysis, the first group had the lowest mortality averages for F. oxysporum (MFo). The second group presented higher levels of MFo and lower yield components. The third group was characterized by higher averages in yield components and total soluble solids (TSS), and the fourth group by the lower average of Neoleucinodes elegantalis. Selected introductions 15C, 22A, 37A, and 35A were defined as having the highest averages in yield, fruit weight, TSS, and being resistant to F. oxysporum.
