Abstract

This clinical case wants to present the combined use of standard tracheal intubation and introduction of a tube into the opened trachea below the zone of resection to maintain the ventilation in patient with low tracheal injury. Likely, it is emphasized the big advantage of keeping a close communication between the surgery and anesthesia equipments to overcome the technical limitations of the mechanical ventilation during the perioperative period.
