MOSTACERO, Rudy. Models for teaching and learning writing: a historical overview. Leng. [online]. 2017, vol.45, n.2, pp.247-273. ISSN 0120-3479.  https://doi.org/10.25100/lenguaje.v45i2.5272.

This review article presents a historical overview of various writing models which have tried to offer pedagogical proposals to teach and learn writing during four decades. This overview comprises information regarding how both theories of writing and its pedagogy have evolved. With the aim of systematizing the information about the topic and uncovering the evolution of the theories and their impact on teaching practices, three writing models are described in order to contribute to the consolidation of a pedagogical model of discourse, and therefore, a consolidation of discourse genres.

Keywords : writing pedagogy; writing models; historical overview.
