Abstract

This article makes a critical-reflexive study from the Council of Europe, about the confrontation of trafficking in human beings. It notes that the subject fits in the political agenda of this institution "pan European", so that, a posteriori, motivations that prompted the creation of a legal framework for human rights protection of the of human trafficking victims, can be exposed, which, in addition, creates obligations to the States from the triple objective of: prevention and cooperation; assistance and protection of the victims rights and repression, persecution and punishment to crime. For these purposes, it turns up to the deductive method, from the documentary, jurisprudential and doctrinal investigation, that it has founded as a conductive line to reach the preliminary conclusions that the measures taken for the trafficking confrontation are integrated with the principles of the European Council, which are, the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
