Abstract

MORENO DURAN, Álvaro  and  PENA RODRIGUEZ, Faustino. Piaget and Bourdieu: Some Theoretical Elements for a Public Pedagogy. Rev. colomb. educ. [online]. 2011, n.60, pp.151-162. ISSN 0120-3916.

Despite of Piaget was not a specialist in topics such as influence of social and cultural means as acquisition ways of individuals' intelligence scheme, he underlines that this socialization is critical. For this reason, the individual and his or her family, school and nation are essential to build their intelligence from childhood up to adolescence. As a result of that, and creating an analogy of this principle related with a Bourdieu notion as habitus, it is possible to suggest that psychologist's terms contributed to build this concept. Therefore, the exercise is to determine which the elements are where Piaget and Bourdieu match up and do not and how do they have influence to build a public pedagogy.

Keywords : Intelligence; habitus; pedagogy; public pedagogy; education.
