Abstract

As a consequence of globalization, the discussion around actions of company social responsibility (CSR) of multinational companies has increased in recent years. The aim of this work was to contribute to the discussion on the adaptation, or lack of, of these programs, so that they adapt to the expectations and needs of the host society. This case contributes to the study in Mexico. For this purpose, the work fist contributes with a brief conceptual framework of the independent concepts to argue in favor of this interaction in particular and, lastly, a brief example is discussed of this interaction through a case study of the General Motors Company, which clearly reflects the adaptation of CSR programs, while following global corporate guidelines. This work used the analysis of official annual reports on social responsibility published by the company as a base for the analysis
