Abstract
GUIBET LAFAYE, Caroline. Renouncing common political values: On ethics in politics. Prax. filos. [online]. 2008, n.27, pp.73-88. ISSN 0120-4688.
Contemporary ethical disagreements about bioethics or religion, for example, show the vanish caractere of any moral consensus about common values. Our societies are deeply pluralistic. This paper will improve the Rawlsian thesis which enunciates that the resolution of ethical and political conflicts calls for the systematic priority given to values of the political and public reason over private values.
Keywords : pluralism; ethical desagreements; overlapping consensus; values.
