Abstract

ARCELLA, Luciano. Apollo and Dionysius: the music of the gods. Prax. filos. [online]. 2013, n.37, pp.95-125. ISSN 0120-4688.

The historian of art, who inferred this character from plastic art as interpretation of the essence of that culture (on the contrary Nietzsche inferred it from music). Nevertheless Apollo, like Dionysus, produced possession and was characterized for his violent and lethal essence. The only variance was the kind of adorcism, produced through different rhythms and instruments, which generated different forms of wisdom. Was basically epistemic the Apollo wisdom, sensory that of Dionysus
