This paper analyzes some guidelines of the Hegelian theory of recognition and its different contexts in light of the issue of natural law and the state of nature. Specifically, we will refer to the following writings: the System of Ethics, the Philosophy of the Spirit, the Phenomenology of the Spirit and the Philosophy of Law.
