Abstract

POMBO, JUAN MANUEL. Curricular Reforms. Signo pensam. [online]. 2010, vol.29, n.56, pp.428-431. ISSN 0120-4823.

The idea behind this article is to highlight the importance for junior and senior high school students to undertake the conscientious reading of four to six books per year and acquiring the skills necessary to draft brief, clear, and coherent reflections on the former rather than sticking to the compulsory reading of specific (and usually long) curricular lists and contents. The article also suggests recruiting enthusiastic bachelor graduates with good academic records in their respective professional areas as high school teachers even if they don't have an ma or a teacher's degree.

Keywords : Curriculum; education reforms; pedagogy; reading; writing; Curricula; Educational reform.
