On the present investigation are analyzed the prosodic marks of intensification on constructions with the degree adverb muy on Mexico City speakers. A test was applied to obtain data with different degress of control by means of a semi-directed interview and a reading. The principal objective of this paper is to identify the prosodic resources used to intensify specific parts of the speech, in this case a degree adverb, aiming to describe and analyze a possible relationship between the semantic-syntactic and prosodic parts of language.
