Abstract

The malignant tumors of the pancreas remains like ones of the cancers more difficult of trying. At the moment of their diagnosis, only among 10%-20% the patients are candidates for surgery. The surgical resection is only possible in a minority of patients, being considered among 4% 9% on the outside of specialized centers. Without treatment these patients have a survival average from 3 to 6 months. Later to a successful resection, the prognostic remains even enough poor, with a survival average from 13 to 15 months, reflected in 10% to 5 years. In reference centers, in spite of staying the expression from the illness to the moment of the diagnosis with a local advanced commitment it is prospective that the resecability with healing intention is among 10%-20%. The present article shows the characteristics of the pancreas cancer in our means, based its expression in a hospital for national reference
