This article recreates the principal landmarks in the history of radio, televisión, and development of the field of journalism on San Andrés Island (Colombia). It presents a study of the main radio stations and televisión channels the island has had and examines the role these mass Communications media have played in national integration and in the promotion of cultural pluralista.
