Abstract

PENA-RODRIGUEZ, Faustino  and  OTALORA-PORRAS, Nelson. Education and Technology: Problems and Relationships. Pedagogía y Saberes [online]. 2018, n.48, pp.59-70. ISSN 0121-2494.

The main argument of this reflection is that education and technology, both on their own and when articulated, are central issues and phenomena for the development of the subjects. The first section proposes a set of ideas regarding the meaning of each of them and, subsequently, structures the discussion about its complex and close relationship, highlighting that it is not limited to the computational use or to the preparation of materials, as is often argued. In this sense, the article proposes a series of reflections about technology, education in technology, and education with technology, and finally, and as a conclusion, argues that the relationship between education and technology in current historical and contextual condition offers different possibilities of social and individual development to the subjects.

Keywords : education; technology; training; subjects; society.
