Abstract

ALVARADO, Keidy Alejandra  and  FANARO, María. Electron's Behavior Conceptualization According to Feynman's Approach: A Study in Colombian Middle School. Rev. Fac. Cienc. Tecnol. [online]. 2022, n.51, pp.77-96.  Epub Oct 15, 2022. ISSN 0121-3814.  https://doi.org/10.17227/ted.num51-10922.

This paper analyzes the conceptualization of 118 students in the last year of a Colombian high school when they face a set of didactic situations about quantum mechanics related to electrons adopting the Feynman approach. A synthesis of the implemented didactic sequence is presented, pointing out the scientific concepts and ideas that the sequence intends to bring out. Then the analysis of the conceptualization is presented from Vergnaud's Theory of Conceptual Fields, where obstacles and helps in conceptualization were identified, based on an analysis of multiple correspondences and a subsequent typology of the resolutions. The results allow to conclude that the sequence was viable, being detected as main obstacles: the manipulation of the proposed probability calculation technique, the interpretation of the model of the probability function for marbles; furthermore, the familiarity of the teacher with the didactic sequence influenced the conceptualization.

Keywords : didactic sequence; quantum mechanics; Feynman's approach; Colombian secondary school; conceptualization.
