Abstract

This article explores the link between mass and technical efficiency in the Colombian dressmaking sector. Through the method of the Stochastic Borders Analysis (SFA), is considered the efficiency of the companies belonging to dressmaking sector for departments to prove if business mass contributes to getting the productive units closer to its borders of efficiency production The evidence suggest that, at least in an added level, there is a positive relationship between the industrial cluster and efficiency production. This article also, carries out a methodological contribution since it is the first one in Colombia in applying a Stochastic production function to show the link between mass and technical efficiency.
