Abstract

MARTINEZ-SENRA, Ana I; QUINTAS, María A  and  CABALLERO, Gloria. Fundamental Research On Innovatory Spanish Companies: An Exploratory Analysis. Innovar [online]. 2014, vol.24, n.52, pp.79-88. ISSN 0121-5051.  https://doi.org/10.15446/innovar.v24n52.42524.

Abstract: This research provides a description of the key characteristics of companies that carry out fundamental research and comparing them to those that do not. We use data drawn from the PITEC Technological Innovation Panel (2003-2007). The results obtained might appear paradoxical because, while the findings indicate that fewer and fewer companies are conducting fundamental research, those that do are demonstrated to obtain better results than those that do not.

Keywords : Fundamental research; innovative result; PITEC; innovative Spanish companies.
