Abstract

This article presents a review on organizational culture. It begins with the PhD thesis that studies the process in which workers interiorize values, symbols and other cultural manifestations. The research problems outlined, schools of thought in cultural anthropology are reviewed, as well as, the way like contemporary management has approached organizational culture. For that, the paradigmatic and methodological approaches, which have been followed by various research were reviewed, so was the treatment to culture, disciplines involved on studies and the main concepts that are related to company's culture. The article ends stating theoretical approaches since which the problem is emphasized, as well as the importance for field research.
