This paper describes the most relevant aspects of the research field of Organizational Intelligence in the context of the Doctoral Program in Engineering from the District University of Bogota , whose main focus is the branch of Science and Technology of Information and Knowledge. From this perspective, Organizational Intelligence may help in understanding the means by which organizations create, socialize and use individual and collective knowledge to their benefit. This research field aims to characterize these processes within the Colombian studying social organizations from intelligence model approaches. All of the above is intended to increase the interest in this field and to motivate the proposal of research projects involving the industry and the society as a whole, with the support of Expert Systems and Simulation research group of the doctoral program.
