Abstract

JIMENEZ-OCAMPO, Sandro. Ethnography and crisis: some debates and a research practice in violence . Nómadas [online]. 2008, n.29, pp.34-49. ISSN 0121-7550.

This article presents a review between the contemporary debate about war and violence as an empirical research topics, and a research practice which have use the ethnography in crisis environments, specifically those related with victims of political violence in Colombia and the monitoring of state responses in terms of its political management of war. The text starts with a conceptualization of political violence as a knowledge-power field to get in a crossed dialogue between the ethical and methodological proposals in diverse approaches and the author's conjectures about the challenges identified during his own research experience.
