Abstract

INCLAN, Daniel. Abominations: violence and capitalism in the XXI century. Nómadas [online]. 2015, n.43, pp.13-27. ISSN 0121-7550.

This text attempts to present a multidimensional interpretation of the study of contemporary violence, focusing on what it produces in the context of the crisis of civilization: abominations are the articulating core of existence. The critique of violence is viewed from its historicity, beginning with the characterization of collective time, and the necessity to reproduce the material capitalist culture. The text concludes with a proposal for collective life as a scenario of disobedience against the violence of capitalism.

Keywords : violence; abomination; history; crisis of civilization; cruelty; cial warfare.
