Abstract This article presents the results of a research process in the Masters of Literature, UPTC, in the line of Creation and Pedagogy, in the year 2013. Its principal objective was to engage tenth graders of Institución Educativa Silvino Rodríguez in pleasant literary reading, through strategies of literary initiation which sought to promote motivation, experience and seduction into new ways of thinking, seeing, and creating through the aesthetic pleasure produced by reading. This was a qualitative, descriptive-explanatory research proyect, with quasi-experimental design; which used authors such as Louise Rosenblatt, Michele Petit, Teresa Colomer, Jorge Larrosa, María Helena Robledo, as theoretical referents. The data was collected through exercises with students, teachers and parents. Categories were analyzed on the basis of surveys and and evaluation of results and strategies. Finally the conclusions are presented.
