Abstract

This paper presents an analysis on the involvement of the victim in the disciplinary process against State Armed Forces for serious human rights violations and humanitarian Law in Colombia, through review of disciplinary cases. For this, it is necessary to look of the criteria needed which should include the disciplinary process according to the Colombian Law and of the Inter-American Human Rights System, and the assessment made by the Court and Inter- American Commission on Human Rights of the disciplinary inquiries in the decisions that determine the responsibility of Colombia in order to show new elements that promote the discussion on the disciplinary law and allow effective involvement of the victim.
