Abstract

ARROYO-ORTEGA, Adriana  and  ROBAYO-NORENA, Sandra Milena. Higher education and technologies: intercultural trails from the stories of the Emberá community in Antioquia, Colombia. Prospectiva [online]. 2022, n.34, pp.133-152.  Epub July 01, 2022. ISSN 0122-1213.  https://doi.org/10.25100/prts.v0i34.11811.

This article presents the findings related to the barriers that young people, as well as other members of the Emberá indigenous community of southwest Antioquia, identify in relation to higher education and the use of technologies, and the underlying challenges and possibilities. Under a methodology of Participation Action Research - IAP, an intercultural research process points out the need for current education to be able to recognize the value of the practices of indigenous peoples, while linking them to new scenarios in the use of technologies without implying loss of their cultural settings.
