Abstract

BOREA, Pasquale. International Governance After the Crisis and New Global Economic and Financial Regulation. Pap.polit. [online]. 2011, vol.16, n.1, pp.243-267. ISSN 0122-4409.

This article proposes a review of the factors originating the economic and financial global crisis and a review of the role of international organizations (International Monetary Fund and World Bank); furthermore it provides a review of the role of the global governance summits such as the G8 and the G20. The article particularly focus on the purposes of a new regulation of the international financial sector and on the reforms that the post crisis agenda requires, concerning the new regulation and the new role of the Bretton Woods international institutions that nowadays should be deeply reformed in order to modernize their role and to avoid the risk of new crisis in the future.
