Abstract

DE PAZ TRUEBA, Yolanda Edith. Poor families and Children's Ombudsperson in the center of Buenos Aires Province. Forms of intervention in the transition to the 20th century. Hist. Caribe [online]. 2017, vol.12, n.31, pp.229-257. ISSN 0122-8803.  https://doi.org/10.15648/hc.31.2017.8.

Through the analysis of documents of the Ombudsperson for Children's Office of Azul, a province of Buenos Aires, this article aims at repairing the figure of the Child Defender to show how it was constituted a connection in the country that made possible to institutionally channel family sues in relation to minors.

It is argued that, in this moment, Defenders of Children's figure was supported by the force of the circumstances, since it was in the municipal areas (such as those in the center of the province of Buenos Aires in which this paper focuses), where the resolution of these situations acquired centrality.

Keywords : childhood; Children's Ombudsperson; placement; family strategy.
