Abstract

The Spanish pedagogue Carmen de Burgos Seguí was a primary school teacher and School for the training of primary teachers who expanded her activity in various fields. A woman with an intense life who, in addition to being a teacher, was a lecturer, journalist, first female war reporter, translator, author of several books as well as numerous journalistic articles, she wrote with an educational and informative intention. She symbolizes progress and modernity, defender of women's education, precursor of civic rights, feminist, republican and freemason. Ahead of her time, she radiated her activities in the first third of the 20th century, being recognized in Europe and America.
