Abstract

ENRIQUEZ MARTINEZ, Alvaro. Knowledge management and university: study of the terms of interface with the external sector. Psicol. caribe [online]. 2014, vol.31, n.1, pp.1-24. ISSN 0123-417X.

In a changing world, both socially and economically, the university reflects upon its research work. Social responsibility and the demand for knowledge of the means of production require a significant contribution from university research. In response to this situation, the university explores models to manage the knowledge produced by research. This study explores the conditions for implementing a university knowledge management model. It concludes that in a possible interface university/external sector, the university must first recognize its own internal conditions: technologies, research, organizational forms, interaction and communication, so as to properly design an interface with the external sector and, in this way, to manage the knowledge it produces.

Keywords : University; research; knowledge management; interface.
