This text investigates reading from an experiential perspective to reveal a crisis panorama derived from the philosophical thought of Walter Benjamin (1998; 1999; 2003; 2007; 2008). From there, we propose two approaches in which we think the reading experience with the ways of discourse. The first problematizes the generalized destruction of experience (Agamben, 2001) based on communication. The second is aimed at thinking of the crisis of the experience of reading combined with the crisis of narration, as points of resonance with the decline of the aura in the period of technical reproducibility. This shows a nostalgia for the "existence of the unrepeatable", and the authentic character, the potentiality of the affirmation of time now. Everything, questioning the narrative as an experience of language enables ways of deciding what it potentially is.
