Abstract

CORTES, Consuelo Pardo. Juan Manuel Roca: Stone Mason and Reader of Stones. The Poetic Craft and Criticism of Reality. Lit. teor. hist. crit. [online]. 2014, vol.16, n.2, pp.37-58. ISSN 0123-5931.  https://doi.org/10.15446/lthc.v16n2.47215.

The purpose of this article is to reconstruct a profile of Juan Manuel Roca as a critic of his reality, starting from the interpretation of his work. This critical notion is necessarily related to the reflection on the poetic task present in his creation and, at the same time, with his other works in which the question of the function of poetry implies a questioning of his contemporaries under assumptions which do not exclude the ethical or the aesthetic.

Keywords : Juan Manuel Roca; Colombian poetry; poetry and reality; other reality; aesthetic truth.
