Abstract

RESTREPO, Eduardo. Images of Blacks and Notions of Race in Colombia in the Early Twentieth Century. rev.estud.soc. [online]. 2007, n.27, pp.46-61. ISSN 0123-885X.

This article analyzes several texts published in the 1920’s and 30’s within the context of the debate on racial degeneration in Colombia. In particular, it identifies the images of Blacks that circulated in those texts and where there was agreement and disagreement regarding the concept of race associated with these images.
