This research focuses on psychosocial factors related to nutritional status of school children who suffered chronic malnutrition or were without nutritional compromise. 76 children, 38 with normal nutrition and 38 with chronic malnutrition, were sampled using a transversal methodology. ELCSA and HOME scales were used for a psychosocial assessment in addition to a psychosocial survey and a nutritional evaluation. As a main result, some significant differences were evident in relation to psychomotor development based on the Gatear variable (p < 0.045), decision-making aspects (p < 0.027), and aggressive behavior (p < 0.002) in the assessed groups.
