PARDO JAIME, Leonardo et al. Psychometric analysis of Drinking Motives Questionnaire (DMQ) in school students in Bogotá city. Psicogente [online]. 2016, vol.19, n.36, pp.284-295. ISSN 0124-0137.  https://doi.org/10.17081/psico.19.36.1298.

The objective of this psychometric study is to analyze the psychometric properties of the Drinking Motives Questionnaire (DMQ) in school children in Bogotá city. For this, there were chosen 206 sample participants who were administered the questionnaire, applying an exploratory factor analysis by using a principal component extraction with Varimax rotation, and a Cronbach's alpha reliability analysis was also performed. The results show four factors with an appropriate factor load, by factor and by reactive, explaining a variance of 73.359 % , and a reliability index of 945. The results show that the Drinking Motives Questionnaire (DMQ) show a similar structure in comparison with surveys made in other countries. This indicates an appropriate construct validity, and reliability for its use in school children in Bogotá city.
