Abstract

DE GAMBOA TAPIAS, Camila. Freedom and justice. Estud. Socio-Juríd [online]. 2001, vol.3, n.2, pp.27-50. ISSN 0124-0579.

This paper analyses John Rawals' thought in order find out if his notions of justice and freedom are enough as to sustain social structures, able to guarantee the well being of its members. A possible reception of Rawls' thougth in Colombia is enriched by a reflection on his concept of basic freedoms and the likelihood of applying the constructivist model in societies of non western and non American cultures.

Keywords : Basic freedoms; justice; society; constructivism; reception.
