Abstract

RINCON COVELLI, Tatiana. Historical truth: a truth established and legimated from the point of view of the victims. Estud. Socio-Juríd [online]. 2005, vol.7, n.spe, pp.331-354. ISSN 0124-0579.

ABSTRACT To approach to the truth is not an easy task. This implies to reflect and analyze a wide theoretical discussion of scholars about this concept. However, I will try to do something more modest; this is to explore a particular concept of truth: the notion of "historical truth" within the context of the jurisprudence of International Tribunals of Human Rights, specifically, the jurisprudence of the Interamerican Court Human Rights. Thus, I examine a concept of truth within a strict normative context.

Keywords : Historical truth; victims; international tribunal of human rights; jurisprudence; criminal tribunals.
