ABSTRACT Through the consideration of Roman law and French doctrine, this article analyzes current legal limits in the commercial dealings of chattels and real estate conducted by adolescents. At the same time, it proposes an extensive interpretation of actual Colombian civil law in order to allow greater freedom for minors to administer or negotiation those types or property.
