Abstract

AHUMADA CANABES, Marcela. Freedom of Scientific Investigation: Origins of the Right and Its Constitutional Configuration. Estud. Socio-Juríd [online]. 2008, vol.10, n.1, pp.11-49. ISSN 0124-0579.

The purpose of this paper is to locate the origins of scientific freedom, to determine the foundations of the original claims and to seek to explain why this right was not protected in the first bills of rights. All these questions are crucial in a society in which the social control of science is a matter of debate.

Keywords : Scientific freedom; origins; foundations.
