Abstract

PATINO-NINO, Diana Milena. A contribution to think with / the methodological path of Arendt. discus.filos [online]. 2021, vol.22, n.39, pp.91-112.  Epub Mar 17, 2022. ISSN 0124-6127.  https://doi.org/10.17151/difil.2021.22.39.6.

The problem about the method in philosophy has brought about various discussions, to a great extent because based on what is assumed as method, a work or writing can be classified as either philosophical or not philosophical. In the last century, some works that provoked great discussion precisely by invoking that issue of whether or not they were philosophical because of the method used in them were published, specifically the works of Hannah Arendt. In what follows, some of the voices that have participated in these discussions are briefly echoed and a contribution of the analysis of what can be perceived as the methodology used by Arendt is presented. This can be relevant to enrich already existing conversations about ways of saying and doing in philosophy and can provide openings to new ways of saying and doing.

Keywords : Arendt; methodology; novelty; methodological strategies.
