In the search for peace, starting with the individual and then being reflected in society, family play a key role. Considered the first institution where the individual socialized and is formed, what is learned at home is notorious through out life. This article introduce an analysis and reflection about peace, the elements from the Peace Culture, their definitions and how are they represented. It will also be analyzed the origins of violence in which way are they taught and learned the violent conducts; the structure of violence, definition and elements will be revised according to the theoretical contributions that deepen this knowledge. Finally, the family role will be analyzed as forming the individual and the influence in conduct and the relations from the individual with society. Studies and proposals at an international level that prove the importance or empowering parents as educators of their children in the elements of the Culture of Peace and the importance of acting as agents of social change will be reviewed.
