This article is resulting of a the research about “The dissolution and restructuring of guards quillasingas of the Valle de Atriz”, promoted by the Vice-Rector for Research , Graduate Studies and International Relations - VIPRI. The research addresses the question on the processes of dissolution and fragmentation of the indigenous reservations of colonial origin that existed in the vicinity of the city of San Juan de Pasto until 1950, and what its relationship with the current restructuring processes. From a basic problem and contextualization with input from records of the General Archives of the Nation and Historic Archives of San Juan de Pasto, we will search historic avatars of these processes in the Quillasinga Guard in Mocondino.
