Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the competitiveness of the export manufacturing industry in Mexico. It is a longitudinal documentary quantitative research, where statistical data for 2007 were collected in 2014 and a linear regression was used to determine the productivity growth of manufacturing sector by type. The conclusion was reached that is the existence of an industrial duality of Mexico on one side industries that are largely integrated into the global economy, however most have no significant productive linkages with local industry. And on the other, those industries that depend on endogenous growth the country has a greater propensity to its production chain.
