Abstract

VARGAS PRIETO, Amanda  and  ROJAS MORA, Jaime Edison. CONTRIBUTIONS OF COOPERATIVISM TO THE RURAL DEVELOPMENT MODEL IN COLOMBIA - LITERATURE REVIEW. Tend. [online]. 2022, vol.23, n.2, pp.53-77.  Epub July 19, 2022. ISSN 0124-8693.  https://doi.org/10.22267/rtend.222302.201.

The crisis of the development model in Colombia has been reflected in the crisis of civilization and the impact has been particularly in the rural sector. This article seeks to analyze rural development alternatives in order to generate proposals for the post-pandemic in the rural sector in Colombia through a qualitative methodology based on a literature review method. Initially, some theoretical elements about the rural development models implemented in Colombia are presented. Finally, alternatives are proposed around the solidarity economy and particularly for the cooperative sector, which is gaining strength in the current debate as a potential development model for new civilizational horizons in the post-pandemic framework. Four strategies that solidarity organizations could develop are presented: the formation of second-tier organizations that will have weight in the participatory governance of their territories, be leaders in the provision of technical assistance services, generate autonomy of their associates by strengthening the identity and offer distribution and marketing options based on the recovery of the local.
