Abstract

TABARES QUIROZ, Juliana  and  ARANGO VASQUEZ, Leonel. Mediation of the use of technology: A conceptual proposal for technological management in organizations. Pensam. gest. [online]. 2021, n.51, pp.113-132.  Epub Oct 25, 2022. ISSN 1657-6276.

The mediation of the use of technology is conceived as an intervention process that facilitates the management and use of information technologies in organizations, this process provides users with senses, symbols, mental models and other interpretive resources so that they appropriate and use technologies. This article seeks to analyze the Mediation of the Use of Technology through a narrative review of empirical studies that have developed the concept in different organizational contexts. As a result, four different approaches are proposed to address the concept: Structural, Sociocognitive, Relational and Symbolic. Future routes of interpretation are proposed, such as looking at the different organizational actors and understanding mediation as a system that configures and reconfigures the organization.
